My biggest hobbies!

Hello! I think my two biggest hobbies are playing drums and riding a bicycle.
I have been playing drums for about five years now and I have been riding a bicycle as a sport for about 6 months, before I only used it as a means of transport.
When I was about 15 years old, with some friends we had a band that played punk rock songs, we had only one concert, in a square in Paine. We drank many beers before playing and the concert did not go very well.
In this last time, for the university and for my work, I have stopped playing drums, but it is still one of my favorite hobbies, I keep hitting the tables following the rhythms of my favorite songs and I planed to play again during this week of holidays.
I started to ride a bike as a sport at the beginning of this year, I went to the hills of Santa Lucia and San Cristobal, I riding through the Alameda and Avenida Grecia and it is very fun, also, in the place I live, I went to the “Laguna de Aculeo” and the “Cuesta de Chada”. I think that this sport is good for my physical condition and for my health, since I do not practice any other sport.
In addition, by eating to go out on a bicycle in the mornings I stopped going to parties and drinking alcohol in excess, which is also a good reason to continue practicing this sport.

Changes to my study programme

Hi!
Today, I going to talk about the changes I think are necessaries to my study programme.

In my career, there are many subjects about theory and professional training, as much sociological theory's, Latin American and Chilean history or methodology's of investigation. These subjects have a very academic load and I waste all my time studying for these. This is a problem because I work at the weekend and I no have time to play drums or riding a bike.

However I think these subjects are fundamental to understand the sociology or the work as sociology, but there are no subjects about extension, subjects that work with the community or social organisation. I think that also should be important to our academic training.

I think that in our faculty there are no have the minimum physical spaces to a satisfactory academic training, as a real space to we can get food and lunch, a big library or the amount of classroom. In the other faculties as Beaucheff or FEN, they have big and modern buildings. In our faculty (maybe in the university) there are no psychological support to manage stress or personal problems.

In my career, only use a traditional methods of teaching, where a teacher talk about of his subject, I pay attention, after I have a test and I approve this subjects. We don't use a new technologies or new methods of teaching.

If someday such matters changes, maybe we can have a better academic and professional training.

"Eterna Inocencia" in Valparaiso!

Hi!

At the Saturday night of the end of May, come to Chile the Argentinian's band Eterna Inocencia. They plays in Valparaiso and it was very difficult to me to arrive at the location.
In the morning of this Saturday, I was in Champa and had to travel to Santiago for take a bus to Valparaiso, but before I leave to Santiago, one of my friends told me that he and others friends are in Las Cruces.
I take a bus to Las Cruces and arrive here at the 12 o'clock. I lunch with my friends and after we drink lot of beers in the beach of Las Cruces. At the 8 o'clock, we take a bus to Valparaiso but been very vehicle traffic and arrive here at the 22:30, the concert start at the 23:00 o'clock and we can't search a place to stay.
The concert was amazing, first play two Chilean's bands and later Eterna Inocencia played approximately two hours and a half. They finished approximately at four in the morning.
We didn't a place to stay so we go to the square and drink some beers until when that day dawned.
In the morning, I take a bus to return to Santiago and other to Champa and at the three o'clock I had to work until ten in the evening. For that, I only sleep in the bus :)

My future studies

Really, I never thinking in what to study after finished this career, or if I continue studying anything. Anyway, if I continue in a postgraduate program, should be learn about specific topic more than the job opportunities or earn more moneys.
If I choose in this moment what want to continue studying, should be something associated with educational sociology, because I think that is the main important problem in our society and if I can make to do anything for resolved this, I'll do it.
In case I continue studying, I wish be in other country, that's European country, Australia or other country of Latin America , because I never leave Chile :c and it's a great opportunity to do it.
I like to study in a part-time course in Chile or abroad, because I have to work to pay this course (In case I no have a scholarship) and renting, food, etc.
In the case I choose study other career, this should be Photography, because I love make pictures and keep many records of my travels, parties or my family and friends. I never think in study Photography before this, but isn't a profitable career and I know many greats photographer without studies.

My new sport

Hi!

Last year, I started practicing a new sport (really, is the first one). In March, when I started the new school year and arrived to Santiago again, my brother gave me his bike. It's a beatiful fixie, of beige colour.

Since then, I come to the university in my bike and this only takes me 15 minutes. I come across Avenida Grecia and return to my house by Macul. I really enjoy this travel, but Avenida Grecia is full of cars.

Also, I travel in my bike across the whole city: I go to San Cristobal and Santa Lucía hills, Parque Forestal, Cementerio General and I enjoyed travelling in other streets like Alameda and Paseo Barrio Lastarria.

In addition, the last two months, for the sit-in of the faculty, I started working all the week in my town, Champa, in a liquor store that also I work at the weekend in a normal year. The point is, with the money that they pay me, the last week I bought a new bike: A mountainbike, it's blue, but this is in Champa and I had only used it one time, in a travel to the Laguna de Aculeo that takes me 2 hours to go and return.

A country I'd like to visit

Hello!
There are many countries I like to visit, because I never leave Chile. Principally, I like to know América Latina, but starting at Argentina and Uruguay and after I like to know Bolivia and Perú.

I like starting at Argentina and Uruguay because there are many bands that I very like as 'Rodia', 'Da-skate' and 'Eterna Inocencia' in Argentina and 'No te va gustar' and 'La vela puerca' in Uruguay.

When I'm there, I go to listen to many bands and go to many concerts. At the rest, I know very little about this countries, I don't know about their customs or their most beautiful places, but isn't very difficult travel through because their language is Spanish and isn't far away.

If I live there, I like to be in Uruguay, in Montevideo, because since I was a child I read stories about this city by writer as Eduardo Galeano or Mario Benedetti and they always says that is a beautiful and peaceful place.
